Salary: PLN 308,000 - 428,000 / annual

This Senior Backend Engineer role focuses on card products and payment infrastructure, working on both real-time transaction processing (millisecond-level latency) and post-transaction ledgering and reconciliation systems.
You will own quarterly goals for your team, lead engineers through ambiguous problems, and ensure team support throughout delivery. You'll collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, articulating technical constraints and partnering on risk/trade-off decisions. You'll proactively identify and lead solutions to project, process, technology, and business issues.
Responsibilities include supporting operations and availability of team artifacts through metrics creation and monitoring, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts. You'll foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards, advocating for them across the organization through writing and tech talks. You'll develop talent on your team through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
Required: 4+ years as a software engineer with experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes. You should have shipped front-end applications and can define technical plans for significant features with elegant, simple, extensible designs. You write high-quality, easily understood code, make significant changes safely in large codebases, and demonstrate ownership of your growth. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with a global engineering team.
