Salary: USD 168,000 - 205,000 / annual
Gong is a revenue intelligence platform that uses AI to help sales teams win. The company's Revenue AI Operating System unifies data, insights, and workflows for over 5,000 customers globally. You'll join the Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) team as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for designing and building end-to-end product features that solve real customer pain points.
In this role, you'll own technical projects from architecture through deployment, working across both backend (Java) and frontend (React) to build scalable, reliable services and APIs. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers to identify recurring customer and support pain points, then build tools and automation to enable self-service and reduce support effort.
Key responsibilities include designing cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with microservices architectures, debugging complex problems efficiently, and building high-quality systems. You'll communicate across teams and be passionate about solving real customer problems.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of backend development with deep Java expertise, 1+ year of professional React experience, proven ability to solve complex problems, and experience designing and running cloud-based services. Bonus skills include infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and data-driven APIs. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) is expected.
