As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect, design, develop, test, and maintain critical forwarding-related systems in a full-stack capacity. The role involves learning the freight forwarding business, modeling logistics workflows, designing efficient solutions, and automating complex processes. You'll work with distributed microservice architectures, building highly available and secure systems that handle real-world logistics entities (shippers, cargo, carriers, containers, documents, etc.).
Key responsibilities include: architecting and driving major multi-month projects with cross-functional coordination; collaborating with product managers and business partners to translate complex problems into elegant technical solutions; shipping to production dozens of times daily; mentoring other engineers and contributing to the broader engineering community; maintaining high quality standards through metrics obsession and post-mortem learnings; and tackling system-level issues with emphasis on simplicity and composability as the company extracts services from its monolith.
The Shanghai and Shenzhen teams work on core products spanning Freight Services Planning, Procurement, Commerce, Security, Infrastructure, and Visibility. You'll leverage optimization models, machine learning, and natural language processing to create best-in-class customer solutions.
