RevenueCat is the default monetization platform for mobile apps, processing $16B+ in annual purchase volume and serving 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps. The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale AI agents—Rico and Astra—that help app developers manage subscriptions, run pricing experiments, and build paywalls without deep expertise in monetization or design.
Rico is an AI agent that monitors subscription businesses, explains revenue changes in plain language, suggests optimizations, and can execute actions (like setting up new plans or restoring customer access) with human approval. Astra specializes in paywall design and editing, accessible via an online editor, CLI, or MCP integrations.
You'll own the foundation these agents run on: orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation frameworks, and human-in-the-loop controls. This is not a thin LLM wrapper—you'll build systems that reliably execute real work for thousands of developers.
You bring 8+ years shipping production systems, with proven experience building agents that people actually use. You have strong backend fundamentals (reliability, observability, security), deep familiarity with tool use, structured output, and context management. You're a builder who scopes, prioritizes, and drives rollout in partnership with Product—not an implementer following detailed specs. You're customer-obsessed, scrappy, biased toward shipping, and comfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage product inside a growth-stage company.
In month one, you'll onboard, learn the codebase and subscription business concepts, and ship a small feature. Within three months, you'll ship a medium-sized agentic feature reaching tens of thousands of developers. RevenueCat is a remote-first team of 150+ across 25+ countries, guided by Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.
