WordPress VIP, Automattic's enterprise content management platform, is seeking a Senior Social and Community Strategist to own how the company shows up and engages across social channels and community forums. This role is pivotal in building awareness, shaping perception, and establishing WordPress VIP's voice in the enterprise web landscape. You will own two interconnected surfaces: first, the company's owned channels—leading with LinkedIn strategy and deciding where else to show up (Bluesky, YouTube, podcasts, niche platforms)—and second, presence in community spaces where buyers congregate (Reddit threads, CMO Slacks, GovLoop, closed forums). You'll listen, engage, host AMAs, and bring intelligence back to inform broader marketing strategy. Key responsibilities include: building and executing social strategy with editorial calendars and content mix; mapping and embedding in priority forums for ICPs (B2B marketing communities, developer audiences, public-sector verticals); running the newly launching employee advocacy program from recruitment through scaling; conducting social and community listening via Meltwater and native tools, routing insights to Sales, PMM, Brand, and Product; conceiving and producing social-native content with design and video teams; building a roster of B2B creators and podcasters for paid and organic partnerships; managing crisis response and brand safety on social; and inheriting and improving the event social playbook. Success is measured on impact: audience growth in ICP, engagement quality, employee advocacy reach, active participation and AMAs in priority forums, intel surfaced to teams, share of voice in verticals, brand sentiment trends, and social-influenced pipeline. You bring strong B2B social experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS or technology. You've owned LinkedIn at scale, run editorial calendars and employee advocacy programs, and engaged in high-credibility communities. You write well, have strong taste, understand algorithm dynamics, and can distinguish between posts that perform and posts that build brand. You're comfortable with AI as a daily practice—building agents and workflows to automate volume work so you can focus on judgment and strategy.
