Braze is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its infrastructure and platform team in São Paulo. You will be responsible for keeping Braze's internal-facing services and platforms running smoothly at massive scale—the company processes over 3.3 billion monthly active users, hundreds of billions of data points monthly, and sends billions of messages daily. In this role, you'll blend system administration with software engineering, applying sound engineering principles and mature automation to build and maintain infrastructure services. You'll work with a diverse technology stack including Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, and more. Key responsibilities include: - Partnering with engineering teams to architect products that effectively utilize infrastructure platforms in scalable, reliable ways - Debugging reliability and scalability issues across all stack layers - Improving monitoring and alerting to focus on symptoms rather than outages - Ensuring Braze meets strict enterprise-grade SLAs - Developing internal platform infrastructure using Chef, Terraform, and Kubernetes - Creating deployment pipelines for multi-language applications using Docker and Kubernetes - Providing centralized tooling, services, and automation frameworks to reduce operational pain - Managing incidents via PagerDuty rotation, preventing future incidents, and conducting retrospectives You should have 3+ years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer. You think systematically about interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, and failure modes. You're collaborative, document thoroughly, and deliver quickly—often working asynchronously across global teams. You have strong Linux/Unix shell knowledge, programming skills in Ruby and/or Go, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and data technologies like MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or Postgres.
