Salary: USD 140,000 - 210,000 / annual

Tempus is a healthcare AI company building a proprietary platform that connects real-world evidence to deliver actionable clinical insights to physicians. We're seeking a Senior Scientist II, Data Solutions to join our Life Sciences team, focusing on establishing and expanding partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies while driving revenue. In this role, you will cultivate and grow partnerships with pharma and biotech clients, supporting their research, clinical, and commercial programs. You'll work deeply with customers to understand their research objectives and develop targeted solutions leveraging Tempus products and services. Key responsibilities include: meeting/exceeding revenue goals for assigned product lines; building relationships with R&D and commercial executives at partner organizations; developing deep scientific understanding of customer pipelines and commercial objectives; deploying a consultative approach to identify where Tempus solutions can meaningfully impact client performance; proactively developing scientific strategies and reports to drive customer engagement; communicating technical plans to cross-functional stakeholders; partnering with Account Teams to manage opportunity pipelines; tracking progress against strategic objectives; contributing portfolio feedback to leadership; and staying informed on pharmaceutical industry trends and regulatory developments. You'll travel approximately 30% of the time, domestically and internationally. This is a hybrid role with offices in Redwood City, New York, Boston, and Chicago. Ideal candidates hold a Master's or PhD in computational biology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, or related fields, with 2+ years of post-graduate experience in data science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or public health. You should have computational skills in SQL, Python, and R; experience with clinical trial design and real-world evidence datasets; knowledge of integrative methods for multi-modal clinical and omics data; deep knowledge of drug discovery, translational research, or real-world evidence methodologies (especially oncology); and proven ability to build relationships with pharmaceutical stakeholders. You thrive in agile environments, excel at account management, and can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes to solve problems.
