Salary: USD 117,683 - 158,817 / annual
Parts Town, a fast-growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC, and residential appliance parts, is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join their technical team. This hybrid role is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
You will develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test SAP ABAP software solutions that support S/4 HANA and GTS business systems. Your responsibilities span the full lifecycle from design and development through implementation and post-production support. You'll collaborate closely with business process owners, analysts, functional engineers, and global business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interfacing with business teams to understand data requirements and establish data models
- Performing data profiling and analysis activities
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Contributing to processing automation and performance improvements
- Ensuring security and compliance with governance policies
- Participating in unit, integration, and UAT testing
- Supporting SAP Fiori applications including custom extension development
- Designing and developing data dictionary objects, structures, views, and interfaces
Required qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of business processes (sales order processing, purchasing, distribution, payables, receivables)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Experience with at least one full SAP implementation lifecycle
- Strong ABAP development and Workbench navigation skills
- Experience integrating SAP with third-party SQL Server systems
- Hands-on experience with RFCs, BAPIs, ALE/IDOC, ODATA, and Web Services
- Knowledge of SAP enhancement techniques (EXITS, BADIS, AIF)
- SAP Fiori application experience
- Data dictionary object design and development expertise
