CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B marketplace for used car trading across Europe, connecting 40,000+ buyers from 20+ countries on a single platform. The Inventory team owns the Salesforce layer that processes all dealer and buyer transactions at scale.
As Senior Salesforce Developer, you will architect and build the Service Cloud and Sales Cloud solutions that power end-to-end dealer and buyer workflows. You own the full stack: Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce pages, and the critical two-way integration between Salesforce and CarOnSale's core platform using REST APIs, Platform Events, and event-driven flows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and customizing Service Cloud and Sales Cloud solutions for dealer and buyer processes
- Owning Apex, LWC, and Visualforce development across the Inventory team's scope
- Designing and maintaining bidirectional Salesforce-to-backend integrations with focus on data consistency
- Making architectural decisions on when to use standard configuration (Flows, metadata, permission sets) versus custom development
- Designing robust data models and API integrations for transaction data
- Reducing technical debt and improving platform reliability through monitoring and clean deployment practices
- Working in agile sprints and shaping architecture decisions
You bring 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development with production experience in Service Cloud and Sales Cloud. You have deep expertise in Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. You understand relational data modeling (SOQL/SQL), event-driven architecture, and Salesforce integration patterns. You make sound judgments on platform configuration versus custom code, are comfortable with release management and scrum, and can translate technical decisions into business language. C1-level English is required. You actively use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in your daily work.
Nice-to-have qualifications include Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II or Service Cloud Consultant), B2-level German, and experience mentoring developers.
