Checkly is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive customer success and expand market reach in Europe. The role bridges pre- and post-sales, focusing on technical evaluation, implementation, and customer partnership. You'll become an expert in Checkly's monitoring-as-code platform and the observability space, working directly with high-value customers at various lifecycle stages. Key responsibilities include: conducting technical evaluations and demos for prospects, owning the implementation process from first contact to successful deployment, debugging and solving real customer problems, and serving as a voice for customer needs to Product and Engineering teams. You'll also contribute to improving technical documentation and processes, and participate in customer support during onboarding to deeply understand the platform and user base. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Customer Solutions, or Forward Deployed Engineer roles, preferably in dev-tools SaaS. Strong technical skills are essential—you should be comfortable reading, writing, and debugging code (JavaScript/Node.js preferred). Experience with observability, monitoring, or testing platforms is valued but not required. You should be proficient with AI tools (Claude, Codex) to accelerate customer-facing work like proof-of-concept development and tailored demos. You'll thrive in a remote-first, async environment with autonomy and self-motivation. Exceptional empathy, curiosity, and a proactive ownership mindset are critical. Fluent English (spoken and written) is required. Must be located in Europe within UTC+1 to UTC+2 time zones. Checkly is a Series B company (raised $20M in 2024) trusted by teams at Vercel, CrowdStrike, 1Password, Airbus, Mistral, ServiceNow, and Fastly. The company emphasizes transparency, flexible work, and inclusive benefits including 27 days paid vacation, paid parental leave, stock options, and annual company on-sites.
