Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join its Enterprise Sales Engineering team in Tokyo. You will report to the Manager of Sales Engineering and work within the Sales and Go-to-Market department, supporting the company's mission to accelerate digital transformation and secure cloud-native environments through its Zero Trust Exchange platform.
In this role, you will provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to enterprise customers, taking full ownership of the technical sales process from discovery through close. You will independently deliver high-impact sales pitches, technical demonstrations, and whiteboard presentations to C-level and technical stakeholders. Your responsibilities include understanding customer security and networking challenges, architecting solutions using Zscaler's cloud security platform, and collaborating with account executives to drive deal progression and customer success.
You will work in a dynamic, customer-obsessed environment where impact matters more than activity. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of pre-sales experience, with at least 3 years focused on selling security or networking solutions in direct or high-touch enterprise environments. You should have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, strong technical proficiency in HTTP and web technologies, and fluency in both written and spoken Japanese. You are a learner with a growth mindset, comfortable navigating between high-level strategy and hands-on technical execution.
