This role combines technical depth with sales execution, partnering closely with Account Executives to win new customers and expand existing accounts.
You will own the technical strategy for complex enterprise opportunities, delivering tailored solutions across Cohesity's Data Cloud portfolio—backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data security management. Your responsibilities include:
• Drive new customer and expansion opportunities by articulating Cohesity's capabilities to business and technical stakeholders
• Provide expert technical support throughout the sales cycle: discovery, solution design, demos, and proofs of concept
• Support enterprise opportunity strategy in partnership with Account Executives, contributing to deal progression and win strategy
• Enable customers to integrate Cohesity products into production environments, responding to technical requests professionally
• Lead technical engagements including product demonstrations, workshops, white papers, proposals, and evaluations
• Identify customer requirements and risk areas, shaping proofs of concept that highlight Cohesity's value in cyber resilience
• Assist with competitive displacement conversations by understanding customer environments and positioning Cohesity effectively
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to relay customer feedback and drive product improvements
• Provide post-sales technical assistance or project support to ensure successful customer outcomes
You bring proven pre-sales Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting experience supporting infrastructure, data protection, security, or cloud platforms in enterprise environments. You have hands-on experience with backup, recovery, data protection, storage, or cyber resilience technologies across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud architectures. You understand data security concepts including ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, and access controls.
You excel at translating technical architecture into clear customer value and business outcomes. You're comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and enterprise buying processes. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential—you can convey technical concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences. You're collaborative, confident in managing complex customer situations, and willing to travel as required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience is required. Industry certifications in cloud, data, or adjacent technologies are a plus. You demonstrate ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and support decision-making.
