Salary: USD 234,900 - 261,000 / annual
Cohesity is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support enterprise sales engagements and drive adoption of its AI-powered data security and management platform. You will partner closely with Account Executives to execute new customer opportunities and expansions by delivering tailored technical solutions across backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data security management.
In this role, you will drive new customer and expansion opportunities by articulating Cohesity's Data Cloud portfolio to business and technical audiences. You'll provide expert, tailored technical support throughout the sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, demos, and proofs of concept. You will support technical strategy for enterprise opportunities in partnership with Account Executives, contributing to deal progression and win strategy.
Key responsibilities include enabling customers to integrate Cohesity products into existing production environments, leading technical engagements such as product demonstrations and workshops, and identifying customer requirements to shape proofs of concept that highlight Cohesity's value in cyber resilience and data security. You'll assist with competitive displacement conversations by understanding customer environments and positioning Cohesity effectively.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvements. Post-sales technical assistance or project support may be required to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Required qualifications include proven pre-sales Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting experience supporting infrastructure, data protection, security, or cloud platforms in enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, data protection, storage, or cyber resilience technologies across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud architectures is essential. You should have working knowledge of data security concepts including ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, and access controls.
Additional requirements: familiarity with competitive technologies, experience supporting proofs of concept and technical evaluations, ability to translate technical architecture into customer value, experience partnering with Account Executives on complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, understanding of enterprise buying processes, strong communication and presentation skills, collaborative mindset, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. Industry certifications in cloud, data, or adjacent technologies are a plus. Willingness to travel as required. English language proficiency required.
