Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its German operations. You will work closely with the sales team to demonstrate and implement Veeam's data resilience and data security posture management solutions to partners, resellers, and end customers across the region.
Key responsibilities include delivering live and virtual product presentations and demonstrations to customers; implementing and managing proof-of-concept (POC) projects through technical completion; supporting lead generation activities such as events, webinars, and user groups; collaborating with customers and partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements; providing independent technical consulting on data protection technologies; working with sales to identify and onboard new partners and customers; gathering customer feedback for the product management team; and assisting customers in pre-sales evaluation of Veeam software.
You bring proven experience in solutions sales and/or technical pre-sales, ideally with background in data protection technologies. Experience with storage, networking, and/or cloud technologies is highly desirable. You have demonstrated expertise with monitoring tools and frameworks, virtualization technologies, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction. You are energetic, motivated, and able to quickly master new technologies. You adapt well to changing tasks and responsibilities and are willing to travel significantly within your assigned region.
Bonus qualifications include VMCE certification (which Veeam will support you in obtaining), deep knowledge of Veeam or similar technologies, excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German, and relevant industry certifications. The role requires fluency in English and German for presentations and customer interactions.
