Salary: USD 99,000 - 130,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting Operations team. This role reports to the Revenue Accounting Operations Manager and is critical to the Contract to Cash Process.
You will be responsible for accurate and timely revenue recognition across a diverse portfolio of product and service contracts, with emphasis on government Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) arrangements. You will leverage Oracle Fusion Projects to manage the end-to-end project accounting lifecycle, including review and analysis of Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) templates. You will act as a key liaison between Business Line FP&A teams and Corporate Accounting to ensure financial results accurately reflect project execution and strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with Technical Accounting to ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606 for new and modified customer contracts
- Administering and accounting for various contract types (CPFF, T&M, Cost Reimbursed, FFP) with focus on government contracts
- Providing guidance to cross-functional teams on revenue recognition, contract review, revenue forecasting, and deal structuring
- Executing revenue close procedures efficiently within monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines
- Monitoring contract funding, limits, modifications, closeouts, and progress to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Collaborating with Project Management, Contracts, and Pricing teams on contract terms and revenue recognition impacts
- Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Preparing and reviewing complex revenue journal entries with proper classification and documentation
- Identifying and mitigating potential issues through optimized processes and controls
- Supporting internal and external audits, including DCAA audits
- Identifying process improvement and automation opportunities within the revenue accounting cycle
- Serving as a power user of Oracle Fusion Cloud for revenue-related activities including contract setup, project accounting, EAC/ETC management, and project cost accounting
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting with significant exposure to ASC 606
- Demonstrated experience with government contracting, including EAC/ETC analysis and in-depth understanding of CPFF contract accounting (strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and Project Accounting functionalities; Oracle Fusion Cloud and Salesforce experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data modeling)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
