Endor Labs is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (SDET) to drive reliability, scalability, and security across its Application Security platform. This role combines deep technical expertise in test automation with a security-first mindset and goes beyond traditional QA to own quality end-to-end.
You will design and implement robust test strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines. Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end quality strategy for product features from design to release, designing and maintaining test automation frameworks, performing deep manual and exploratory testing for complex security use cases, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems to ensure rapid and reliable releases.
You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks. You'll identify, debug, and root-cause complex issues using logs, metrics, and observability platforms, contribute to release processes including build validation and regression cycles, and advocate for shift-left testing practices across teams.
The role emphasizes leveraging modern AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to enhance productivity, debugging, and test coverage. You'll continuously improve testing practices, frameworks, and tooling to increase efficiency and coverage.
Required qualifications: 5–8 years of software engineering or QA experience with strong exposure to both manual and automation testing. Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go; hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Pytest); strong understanding of CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI); experience with version control (Git) and build tools (Maven, npm, pip); solid REST API and API testing knowledge; cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP); strong debugging skills with observability tools (Splunk, Kibana); familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); understanding of modern software delivery pipelines; experience in or strong interest in security/cybersecurity; demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools; and foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts.
