As Senior QA Engineer, you will own quality assurance for a suite of provider tools, patient workflows, and diagnostic reporting systems. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to embed quality from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating business requirements into comprehensive test strategies and documentation
- Executing manual and automated testing (exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, UI)
- Testing APIs and backend services (REST, GraphQL) for robustness and correctness
- Identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking quality issues and defects
- Leading root cause analysis with developers to accelerate defect resolution
- Mentoring junior QA engineers and driving best practices across the team
- Integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality
- Ensuring web applications meet accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA)
- Contributing to performance and security testing initiatives
- Advocating for process improvements to raise product quality and engineering performance
You bring 4+ years of professional QA experience with strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. You have hands-on expertise with test design techniques, web technologies (HTML, CSS, client-server architecture, APIs), RESTful and GraphQL API testing, automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium), and bug tracking systems (JIRA). You're analytically sharp, a strong communicator, and deeply collaborative—passionate about delivering high-quality, user-centered products. A BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience is required.
Nice-to-have skills include native mobile app testing (iOS/Android), mobile testing tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Appium, Detox, BrowserStack), mobile distribution workflows (TestFlight, Google Play Console), accessibility test strategy design, performance and security testing, and experience with healthcare applications, EHR systems, or HIPAA/PHIPA compliance environments.
The role is fully remote with a preference for Pacific Time Zone alignment for team collaboration. No visa sponsorship is provided; applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
