Datacor, a leading provider of ERP, CRM, Asset Tracking, Simulation and Formulation software for process manufacturing, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join Informetric Systems (a Datacor company). Informetric provides mission-critical data aggregation, batch reporting, and quality management solutions to life sciences and regulated pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing segments.
In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team ensuring adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards and the release of error-free products. You will develop deep understanding of application requirements, create and execute comprehensive tests, and collaborate with functional teams to ensure software and documentation comply with company Quality Policy.
Key responsibilities include: developing expertise in smoke, UI, component, API, and end-to-end testing; creating test plans and manual/automated test cases; executing tests to identify software errors; documenting and reporting bugs; assisting development teams with remediation; ensuring products meet requirements and security standards; validating software against quality policies and customer expectations; and testing different application versions for quality and consistency.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or IT (or equivalent work history demonstrating software testing proficiency); proven QA or similar experience; working knowledge of SQL Server and data/database technologies; ability to create SQL queries for data validation; understanding of data integrity, database and application architecture; basic knowledge of C#, C++, TypeScript; understanding of networking, communications protocols, and modern cybersecurity standards; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; learning agility; and fluent English (working with teams in Costa Rica and the US).
Preferred qualifications include experience with Test Complete, Jira, Zephyr, and using AI to solve problems.
