Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Test and Evaluation team. This role sits at the intersection of critical cross-functional teams, progressing autonomous systems from initial concept through production readiness.
You will develop integration and testing strategies aligned with mission autonomy objectives, coordinate all aspects of testing activities including personnel, equipment, datalinks, test facilities, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing test and integration efforts at system and subsystem levels, communicating test plans and procedures, and leading successful test event execution across multiple departments.
Key activities include participating in requirements development and design reviews, supporting safety review boards and test readiness reviews, leading root cause analysis initiatives, and coordinating with government personnel on technical reviews and deliverables. You will manage project schedules, resource constraints, and conduct hardware/software testing with emphasis on resource planning, stationary and dynamic vehicle testing, and process improvement.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline plus 7+ years of test engineering experience. You must have expertise in DoD test range regulations, spectrum compliance, and DoD acquisition processes. Prior experience as a test director or test conductor is essential, along with hands-on knowledge of autonomous vehicle testing and software development.
Technical competencies include familiarity with Linux/Unix OS, command-line tools, agile development tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, GitHub Enterprise, Circle CI), and the ability to troubleshoot in high-pressure situations. Strong leadership skills with team management experience are required. You must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%, work extended hours as needed, and possess DoD work experience. Security clearance eligibility is required.
