Bitwarden is establishing an India Engineering Center of Excellence and seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead the Privileged Access Management (PAM) product line. This role owns the complete product backlog and day-to-day execution for PAM capabilities including privileged account discovery, credential vaulting and checkout, just-in-time (JIT) access requests, approval workflows, session brokering and recording, policy enforcement, and audit/compliance reporting across the admin console, vault, and target-system integrations.
You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Security, Customer Success, Sales, and enterprise customers to translate complex privileged-access requirements into intuitive, reliable, and auditable product experiences. Key responsibilities include owning and refining the PAM backlog, driving sprint planning and grooming, serving as the primary point of contact for engineering teams during delivery, and partnering with Product Management to translate PAM strategy into well-defined epics and sprint-ready work.
You will manage work across multiple product surfaces, set and maintain realistic delivery timelines, collaborate with Design, QA, Security, and Compliance to define acceptance criteria, and ensure requirements account for governance, separation of duties, approval chains, and privileged-access lifecycle management. The role requires tracking sprint progress, communicating delivery risks and decisions to leadership, engaging with customer feedback and enterprise security stakeholders, and identifying and coordinating cross-functional dependencies.
The ideal candidate combines strong product-delivery discipline with working knowledge of Privileged Access Management, identity and access management (IAM), least-privilege principles, and enterprise security and compliance needs. You should understand software fundamentals relevant to PAM (APIs, integrations, data models, authentication, authorization, session brokering), core identity and security concepts (RBAC, ABAC, policy enforcement, session recording), and cloud-based and self-hosted product considerations.
