YipitData is a leading alternative data and market research platform for institutional investors, recently valued at over $1B after raising $475M from The Carlyle Group. The company analyzes billions of alternative data points daily to provide insights on ridesharing, e-commerce, payments, and other disruptive sectors, serving hedge funds, asset managers, and major corporations.
This Senior Product Marketing Manager role owns product positioning and go-to-market strategy for YipitData's Public Investor segment, a critical business line. You'll define how the company's next-generation AI-powered workflows, data feeds, Investor Portal, and AI agents are understood and sold to increasingly sophisticated institutional buyers.
Key responsibilities include: developing product positioning and GTM strategy for AI and data products; defining ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and tailoring messaging to different investor segments (hedge funds, long-only funds, etc.); partnering with Product, Revenue, and Insights teams to influence roadmap decisions; leading competitive intelligence against both traditional data providers and emerging AI platforms; collaborating on pricing and packaging across a multi-product platform; developing sales enablement and marketing assets that communicate complex products clearly; and establishing metrics to track GTM success (adoption, pipeline impact, win rates).
You'll operate at the intersection of Product and Revenue, ensuring tight alignment between what the company builds, how it's positioned, and how it's sold. This is a foundational role with real scope, building core PMM capabilities for one of YipitData's most critical business lines.
Required: 5+ years in product marketing or related role, ideally with B2B, data, or AI-driven products. Strong ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling narratives. Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Experience working closely with product teams and influencing decisions early. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically with end-to-end ownership.
Bonus: experience with hedge funds, asset managers, or financial data products; background in finance, investing, or data-driven research; track record building or scaling PMM in B2B/data environments; familiarity with positioning frameworks, ICP development, or Jobs-to-Be-Done; MBA or MS in Marketing.
