Expel is redefining Managed Detection and Response (MDR) by focusing on outcomes rather than products alone. As Senior Product Marketing Manager, you'll own product marketing for a key portfolio slice: threat hunting, phishing, add-on services, and orchestration/automation areas of the MDR service. You'll develop messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies that establish these capabilities as recognized differentiators against competitors like CrowdStrike, Arctic Wolf, and ReliaQuest. This role blends strategic ownership with hands-on execution—you'll drive GTM plans while partnering closely with a small, talented product marketing team. Key responsibilities include: owning product marketing strategy for assigned portfolio areas; partnering with Product Management throughout the lifecycle from roadmap through launch; refreshing core messaging platforms and website content; delivering complete GTM launch packages including messaging, content, and enablement; building sales and Customer Success enablement; creating high-quality customer-facing content (messaging frameworks, solution briefs, webpages, presentations, blogs, battlecards, technical collateral); developing and maintaining competitive intelligence and battlecards; turning market and customer insights into roadmap recommendations; partnering with Marketing on content and demand-generation programs; launching prospect and customer engagement programs; spending time with customers and prospects to understand challenges and market dynamics; representing Expel at webinars, customer engagements, analyst briefings, and industry events; and leveraging AI tools like Gemini and Claude to accelerate research, messaging, competitive analysis, and content creation. You'll need exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify highly technical cybersecurity concepts for multiple audiences. Solid experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Technical Marketing, Sales Engineering, or similar go-to-market roles is required. Experience within cybersecurity or closely related technical B2B SaaS environments is essential. Experience marketing cybersecurity technologies such as MDR, XDR, SIEM, SecOps, cloud security, or identity security is a strong plus. You should have a track record running product launches of various sizes, managing stakeholders from kickoff through release, and the ability to quickly learn new product spaces while translating customer and market insights into GTM strategies.
