Salary: USD 200,700 - 250,900 / annual
Mercury is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of its reconciliation platform, a critical component of its fintech banking and treasury infrastructure. The role owns the vision, strategy, and roadmap for reconciliation systems that ensure financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance across Mercury's money movement and accounting operations.
Key responsibilities include partnering with engineering to understand financial data flows, schemas, and failure modes; collaborating with product, accounting, finance, and operations teams to define priorities; evolving the platform to handle long-term scale and complexity; and building tools that help internal teams identify, understand, and resolve discrepancies quickly. You will balance immediate operational needs with long-term platform leverage, bringing structure to a highly cross-functional problem space.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of product management experience on technical platforms, infrastructure, or data products. You should demonstrate strong systems thinking, a bias toward reusable primitives and durable solutions, and a track record of independently driving ambiguous work from problem definition through delivery. Exceptional cross-functional partnership skills and the ability to operate at multiple levels—driving near-term execution while developing a clear vision for platform evolution—are essential. A deep commitment to correctness, reliability, and trustworthiness in internal systems is critical.
Preferred qualifications include experience with platform products involving audits, financial controls, or regulatory requirements; systems related to payments, ledgers, accounting, or data infrastructure; and internal platforms serving multiple downstream teams. Prior reconciliation experience is not required; the focus is on platform instincts, technical fluency, and the ability to learn the domain deeply.
