Airwallex is an AI-native financial operating system serving over 675,000 businesses globally, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok. The company provides regulated financial infrastructure for global payments, treasury, and issuing products across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
As the founding Product Manager for Brazil, you will lead Airwallex's expansion into this priority growth market and the first in South America. This is a high-impact role where you will shape the localization and launch of Airwallex's innovative payment, treasury, and issuing products in Brazil.
Key responsibilities include:
- Orchestrate cross-functional efforts to launch the global treasury and payment network, payment acquiring, issuing, and spend management products in Brazil while ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Coordinate integration with central bank financial infrastructure, including PIX and other key systems, as well as local banks, PSPs, and fintech networks to enable seamless transactions
- Serve as the Brazil voice of customers, partnering with global Engineering and Product teams to define, prioritize, and identify innovative solutions for localized features
- Monitor performance and drive iteration using local market feedback, usage data, and competitive benchmarks to refine the Brazilian product experience and enhance product-market fit
- Inform LATAM product roadmap and strategy by deeply understanding local market developments, trends, target markets, and competitive landscape
You will partner closely with local regulators, external partners, and cross-functional Airwallex teams including Product, Engineering, Commercial, Legal & Compliance, and Operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Hands-on experience with wallet, payments acquiring, or issuing products
- Strong project management skills to align stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences and coordinate multiple complex workstreams
- Bachelor's degree or above in a technical field (engineering or computer science coursework) with a competitive GPA
- Fluency in English and Portuguese
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong ownership mindset and execution skills; ability to be scrappy
- 2-3 years of direct experience in a dedicated product management role in a fintech company
- Working knowledge of digital wallet, card networks, card issuance, and underlying payment infrastructure
- Solid technical understanding and ability to engage in architectural discussions with engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills with ability to convey product design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
