Wrapbook is an AI-powered production finance platform trusted by Netflix, Paramount, and other major studios. The company provides payroll, spend management, and accounting solutions for feature films, TV, and commercials, backed by Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners.
You will own the Agreement Data Platform, the foundational system at the core of Wrapbook's payroll engine. This platform manages union agreements, signatories, job classifications, wage tables, scale rates, and the rules that determine pay floors—data that every downstream payroll calculation depends on. You'll also own the operator tooling that enables contract administrators and client operations partners to define, configure, and govern this data without requiring engineering involvement.
This is a high-leverage role. Agreement data is the spine of the payroll product: every decision downstream—from rate selection at hire, to pay-rule application on timecards, to contributions and reports—flows from its structure. Your mandate is to make this data accurate, configurable, governable, and legible as the number of agreements, signatories, and productions scales.
Key responsibilities include: owning the roadmap and vision for the platform; treating the data model itself as the product by defining entities, attributes, and relationships as new agreement types emerge; investing in admin tooling and self-service primitives so operators can manage agreements end-to-end without engineering tickets; defining explicit contracts (APIs, data services) so dependent teams can build predictably; partnering with engineering on high-stakes migrations and rule explainability; collaborating cross-functionally across hiring, onboarding, project setup, payroll, contributions, timecards, reporting, and labor relations; defining success metrics and using data-driven insights to prioritize impact; advocating for accuracy, compliance, and traceability; and driving execution from discovery through launch.
You should have 5+ years of product management experience in SaaS, fintech, or similarly complex technical environments, with meaningful time owning platform, infrastructure, or data-platform products. Strong technical orientation is essential—you reason with engineering about data models, service boundaries, integrations, and data flows independently. You've proven ability to define and execute product strategy with measurable outcomes and take ideas from concept to launch. You are an active daily user of AI tools (LLMs, AI-assisted coding, AI workflows) and can articulate how AI has changed your PM work. You have experience owning products with high cross-team surface area where other teams depend on your systems or data. Excellent written communication is required—clear, structured, decision-oriented specs and data contracts that engineering can build from without ambiguity. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to become a subject-matter expert in complex domains quickly. You can independently leverage data using SQL, Pendo, Omni, or Snowflake to uncover insights and inform decisions. You balance bias toward action with the attention to compliance and quality that payroll demands.
Bonus qualifications include payroll, fintech, or entertainment industry experience (especially with complex compliance or regulatory requirements); platform or data-layer experience (owning a data model, rules engine, configuration platform, or internal-tooling-for-operators product); operator tooling experience (building admin panels or self-serve configuration surfaces that moved work from engineering to operations); and experience with modularization and service boundaries.
