Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Core People Technology platform—the Workday and HR systems backbone that powers hiring, transfers, leave, pay changes, and offboarding across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt's global workforce.
You'll be the first dedicated PM for this high-volume, high-consequence space, responsible for transforming inbound requests from People Operations, Compliance, Payroll, and Total Rewards into a defensible, prioritized roadmap. This is a hands-on individual contributor role—you'll shape tickets, size work, and collaborate directly with Business Systems Analysts and engineers rather than managing from above.
Key responsibilities include: owning the prioritized work order for Core with clear reasoning and explicit deferrals; translating vague partner requests into documented problems and testable outcomes; partnering directly with stakeholders to hold difficult "not now" conversations; working hands-on with analysts and engineers to shape, size, and write tickets; building operating models and intake processes to reduce coordination overhead; leveraging AI tools to structure messy, multi-format requests while applying judgment on what should never be automated (pay, leave, employment status, right to work); escalating proactively on statutory/audit exposure and cross-space dependencies; and reporting progress against plan with clear communication on shortfalls.
You'll need end-to-end product ownership experience with real decision rights over scope and sequencing. Hands-on Workday or comparable HRIS background as a PM or technical program manager is essential, with genuine understanding of configuration, business processes, and integrations. You must demonstrate a repeatable method for prioritizing when demand exceeds capacity, proven delivery in ambiguous fast-moving environments, and the ability to translate requested solutions into well-defined problems. Strong collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders—especially compliance and audit-exposed functions—is critical. Practical fluency with AI tools for requirements drafting and documentation, paired with sound judgment on where not to apply them, rounds out the profile.
