Salary: USD 175,000 - 210,000 / annual
Yubico, a publicly traded global leader in identity security and creator of the YubiKey hardware-backed passkey, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Tools, Libraries, and Applications (TLA)—the foundational software that underpins many Yubico products and services.
In this role, you will be a technical leader within the product management team, working closely with builders across open-source libraries and SDKs, command-line tools for managing YubiKeys and YubiHSMs, and graphical applications for mobile and desktop platforms. You will serve as the strategic counterpart to the Senior Director of Engineering for Tools, Libraries & Apps, owning the "what" and "why" behind enterprise-grade, secured, and reliable software that expands the value of Yubico hardware and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute long-term product vision and roadmap for foundational tools, libraries, and applications, aligned with business goals and customer needs
- Partner deeply across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Security teams to design high-impact capabilities
- Meet with customers to understand market demand and outcomes for new products
- Translate complex workflows and software requirements into clear PRDs and user stories
- Serve as strategic unifier in cross-functional technical decisions, synthesizing competing priorities between product vision and architectural necessity
- Provide data-driven insights on products managed, including sales performance, trends, and pipeline
- Manage full product life-cycle from conception through end-of-life, including market gathering, customer validation, requirements documentation, engineering management, marketing preparation, release, and sunset processes
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams to ensure software systems integrate seamlessly with critical cryptographic infrastructure (PKI, HSMs) while maintaining security standards

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressively broadening product management experience with strong track record of shipping complex, enterprise-class hardware & manufacturing solutions
- Proven experience in technical product management including development of large-scale internal tools
- Proven ability to act as constructive challenger to highly technical engineering partners
- Strong business and technical acumen with confidence to debate architectural tradeoffs
- Ability to manage competing priorities across geographically distributed teams
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to align multi-disciplinary teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of cryptographic systems, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or Key Management Systems utilizing Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on approach to diving deep into technical workflows alongside engineering teams
