Remote is a global employment platform that helps organizations recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. This Senior Product Manager role owns the Benefits infrastructure strategy—both near-term integration work and long-term platform unification. Near-term responsibilities include migrating benefit costs onto a unified payroll system across multiple carriers and brokers, standing up retirement plan administration for US global payroll, building provider-agnostic cost ingestion, ensuring benefits data from clients' HR systems flows correctly into payroll, and resolving data-integrity incidents affecting employee paychecks. This is hands-on work involving reconciliation logic, eligibility files, settlement thresholds, and migration sequencing. Longer-term, you'll own the vision and roadmap for consolidating fragmented benefits tooling into one administration platform, one cost-ingestion pipeline, and one source of truth. You'll ensure benefits behave consistently across 90+ countries and across Employer of Record, global payroll, PEO, and HRIS-connected customers. You'll also own how this layer surfaces for non-human consumers—APIs and agent-facing tooling—not just UI experiences. This is a high-autonomy role reporting to Product leadership with regular cross-functional exposure to Engineering, Payroll Operations, Partnerships, Finance, and Legal/Compliance. Required: proven PM experience owning complex third-party integrations (API and file/EDI-based); provider-agnostic mindset; proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code/prototypes; ability to design for systems and humans (APIs, agent tooling, not just dashboards); judgment to make strategic and tactical calls under deadline pressure; excellent async written communication. Bonus: commercial partnership negotiation experience; background in benefits, HR tech, payroll, insurance tech, or fintech. Nice-to-have: strong technical fluency reading data-mapping specs and reasoning about sync/reconciliation logic.
