Luminai is an AI-powered healthcare operations platform that automates mission-critical workflows across health systems. The company has raised $60M (Series B led by Peak XV Partners) and is backed by prominent investors including Kevin Weil (OpenAI CPO), Arash Ferdowsi (Dropbox co-founder), and CEOs from Flexport, Notion, Front, Ramp, and Twitch. As Senior Product Manager for Applied AI, you will own the Intelligence and Applied AI product area, directing research, experimentation, and continuous improvement of AI systems that power Luminai's autonomous workflow automation platform used globally in production healthcare environments. Key responsibilities include: - Define internal AI benchmarks and validate their correlation to customer outcomes - Partner on evaluation frameworks to accelerate experimentation velocity and direction - Determine which model improvements ship as platform capabilities and which experiments to terminate early - Set production standards for accuracy, generalization, and failure behavior in mission-critical automations - Collaborate on core product development to enhance platform capabilities - Work with engineering on observability and monitoring systems to safety-check model behavior in critical settings - Establish team operating principles while navigating early-stage, ambiguous questions - Enable sales and customer success teams to accurately communicate AI capabilities and limitations You bring 5+ years of product management experience with proven success shipping AI/ML-powered products in challenging environments. You have deep fluency in model evaluation, failure modes, and the gap between demo and production deployment. You're comfortable using evals, benchmarks, and model performance data as primary decision inputs. You possess solid system design fundamentals, can write clear specifications for technical and non-technical audiences, and demonstrate first-principles thinking about real-world intelligent systems deployment. You have a founder mindset with experience taking products from ideation through launch and scale. The role is based in San Francisco or New York, with in-office expectations 4 days per week (Monday-Friday, with Wednesday as optional work-from-home).
