Rain is a global stablecoin payments platform serving enterprises, neobanks, platforms, developers, and AI agents. The company enables partners to move, store, and use stablecoins instantly and compliantly through global payment cards, rewards, on/offramps, wallets, and cross-border rails. Rain is a Visa and Mastercard Principal Member, trusted by over 100 organizations worldwide. The company closed a $250M Series C in January 2026 at a $1.95B valuation, backed by ICONIQ, Sapphire Ventures, Dragonfly, Bessemer Venture Partners, and others. This is a 0-to-1 Senior Product Manager role owning Rain's Agent Control Layer — a platform that governs AI agent spending activity by enforcing approved counterparties, amounts, merchants, and task scope before transactions occur. You will own the developer-facing surface (APIs, SDKs, controls, documentation) that teams building AI agents use to give them spending power safely. McKinsey projects $3–$5 trillion in global agentic commerce by 2030; the primitives that make it trustworthy have not yet been built. Key responsibilities include: defining primitives for agent authority (spend scopes, allowlists, velocity ceilings, task-bound credentials, human-in-the-loop approvals, revocation); owning scoped virtual cards for agents; extending Rain's stack (wallets, virtual accounts, onramps, offramps, cross-border payments) to agent initiators; treating the API as the product (endpoint design, error semantics, idempotency, webhooks, sandbox tooling, SDKs); owning documentation and onboarding with time-to-first-authorized-agent-transaction as the key metric; running a tight design-partner loop with agent builders; building the roadmap from first principles; partnering with risk and compliance on Know Your Agent (identity, attestation, delegated authority, auditability, dispute handling); representing Rain's technical point of view in Agentic Payments Alliance working groups and with Visa, Mastercard, and stablecoin partners; and writing specs, launch posts, and positioning that teach the market what controlled agentic payments means. You will report to the Head of Product and work daily with engineering, risk and compliance, network partnerships, and developers shipping on Rain's platform. Rain operates with an open, flat structure where team members at all levels have freedom to explore ideas and impact roadmap and vision. The company offers flexible working (remote, office, or hybrid), unlimited time off (10-day minimum), comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage (95% for employees, 90% for dependents), 401(k) with 4% match, equity options for all employees, monthly health and wellness stipend, in-office meals (DoorDash credit), and domestic and international team summits. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years in product management with meaningful time on a developer-facing platform, API, or infrastructure product; must have shipped something engineers chose to build on - Technical depth: read API diffs, write queries, prototype against endpoints, hold your own in architecture reviews; does not require prior engineering background but engineers must take you seriously - 0-to-1 instincts: taken a product from blank page to real usage in ambiguous market; comfortable with roadmaps that change as ground moves - Payments or fintech fluency, or demonstrated appetite to acquire it fast (authorization flows, issuing, interchange, chargebacks, settlement, KYC/KYB) - Judgment under risk: can reason explicitly about tradeoffs between capability and loss in control design - Strong writing: specs, docs, and launch narratives are the job, not overhead - Bias for motion: prefer shipping narrow things monthly and learning over scoping broad initiatives for two quarters BONUS: - Hands-on experience building or deploying AI agents (tool use, orchestration frameworks, MCP, evals) - Stablecoin or onchain payments background (settlement, custody, treasury operations, wallet infrastructure) - Experience working directly with card networks, issuing processors, or sponsor banks - Time at early-stage company during fast scaling period
