Salary: USD 175,000 - 250,000 / annual

You will join the Product Design team as a Senior Product Designer, owning and leading product design across your squad. Your core responsibilities include:
• Own and lead product design direction across your squad, setting the bar for craft, quality, and strategic thinking
• Design for AI agents as first-class users, ensuring the product works exceptionally well for both human developers and autonomous agents
• Integrate AI into every stage of your design workflow to accelerate research, automate tasks, and explore prototypes more efficiently
• Conduct user research to understand developer and agent needs, developing deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ensure cohesive information architecture and unified experience across the product platform by collaborating with other designers
• Work closely with product managers on problem definition and design solutions throughout development
• Partner with engineering teams early to validate technical feasibility and identify edge cases
• Mentor fellow designers through critique, pairing, and feedback, actively investing in team growth
• Shape and advance the Product Design team's processes, tools, and collaborative frameworks
• Experiment daily with AI tools and models as part of your design work
You will help ensure that developers and AI agents write better code, navigate complex codebases, and leverage AI agents to accelerate large-scale code changes. Your work will directly impact how users interact with SonarQube, SonarQube Foundation Agent, SonarSweep, and Sonar Context Augmentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience organizing complex environments into logical structures and mapping user journeys that minimize friction
• Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience using AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, and design velocity
• Self-starter mindset with drive to identify UX gaps and propose structural improvements independently
• Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort working in cross-functional environments where feedback is shared openly
• Delivery mindset—your role extends beyond design handoff
• Track record of driving design strategy and establishing patterns that scale beyond immediate squad, influencing broader product and design organization
• Familiarity with software development workflows, SDLC, or computer science background (production coding not required, but must think alongside engineers)
• Experience designing AI workflows or agent-driven experiences is a strong plus
