Salary: USD 167,200 - 240,350 / annual
Omada Health is seeking a Senior Product Design Strategist to operate at a senior individual contributor level, leading high-leverage, ambiguous product and design initiatives across the organization. This role bridges product management, design, and research, with AI as a core co-intelligent partner throughout the work.
You will own four core responsibilities: problem framing (turning ambiguous asks and business opportunities into scoped, evidence-backed problem statements), direction setting (reconciling research, data, engineering, and business input into clear strategic direction), vision casting (making future states tangible and compelling through roadmaps, prototypes, and executive narratives), and alignment (keeping engineering, clinical, operations, and leadership moving on the same understanding).
The role is explicitly NOT about day-to-day project coordination, detailed screen-by-screen design execution, content production, or formal people management. Instead, you lead through influence, craft, and mentorship, setting direction for collections of related experiences rather than individual features.
Core responsibilities include: problem framing and requirements definition; user journey mapping; research study design and execution; quantitative and qualitative data analysis; competitive and analogous research; metrics instrumentation; synthesis and direction-setting; prioritization and trade-off arbitration; evaluation design and analysis; stop/start/continue investment decisions; vendor and partner evaluations; roadmap ownership and narrative; executive communications; product marketing partnerships; visual and interaction design; prototyping; stakeholder syncs and demos; cross-functional handoffs; clinical, legal, and regulatory partnerships; launch readiness; and stakeholder alignment on priorities.
You will work with a toolkit including low- to high-fidelity prototyping, visual and interaction design, PRD/spec writing, backlog grooming, product documentation, accessibility and QA review, AI orchestration and prompting, data-informed strategy, facilitation, and engineering/technical literacy.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience solving complex, ambiguous problems across product management, design, and/or research, with a track record of owning outcomes at a multi-team level
- 3-5 years of demonstrated success carrying work from 0 to 1 (defining new products or experiences from undefined problem space through shipped, measurable result)
- Strong, evidence-based point of view with judgment to reconcile research, data, engineering, and business input into clear direction; conviction to defend it and humility to revise it
- 3-5 years of experience owning a multi-quarter roadmap and communicating it persuasively to executive and cross-functional audiences, including budget and prioritization conversations
- High craft in at least 2 specialist areas (design, product management, strategy, research, or operations), with genuine working fluency across the others
- Excellence in prototyping and fluency with modern AI-assisted prototyping and building tools (Claude Code, Claude Design, Figma Make, Cursor, Lovable, or similar) — required hands-on craft skill, not optional
- Experience partnering with clinical, legal, regulatory, or other high-stakes compliance functions in health, wellness, fintech, or another regulated domain
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with 3-5 year track record of influencing decisions across senior leadership
- Experience mentoring or informally leading other individual contributors, even without formal people-management responsibility
- Fluency with AI orchestration and prompting across design, spec, and analysis work, and comfort pulling data directly from self-serve analytics tools
BONUS:
- Experience designing or leading strategy for clinical, care delivery, or chronic condition management experiences
- Experience building production-adjacent or fully coded prototypes
- Background as a specialist in 2 areas (Design, PM, or Research) who has deliberately broadened into other health or technology disciplines
- Experience in a startup setting, operating like a builder — self-driven, biased toward action, energized by owning problems from discovery through launch
- Experience running vendor and partner evaluations, including build-vs-buy business cases
