ReflexAI is building an operating system for conversation performance, combining AI-powered training simulations with intelligent QA to support frontline teams in mission-critical conversations. The platform works across 25 languages and serves crisis support centers, healthcare organizations, customer service teams, and sales teams.
As Senior Platform Engineer, you will be the second member of a new Platform Engineering function, establishing and growing this critical capability. You'll own the design, automation, and maintenance of ReflexAI's multi-cloud infrastructure spanning GCP and AWS, working with Terraform, Terragrunt, GitHub, Kubernetes, and modern AI-driven development tools.
Key responsibilities include:
**Core Infrastructure**: Design and automate multi-cloud infrastructure, create safe and reliable paths for software to reach production, and reduce operational toil.
**Developer Experience**: Own the tooling engineers use daily—build, test, and deploy systems. Standardize pipelines, templates, and golden paths to accelerate velocity and reduce overhead.
**Observability & Operations**: Improve on-call ergonomics and reduce mean-time-to-recovery through better instrumentation. Drive reliability, security, and cost efficiency using Datadog.
**Security & Compliance**: Implement best practices for secrets management, IAM, network security, and container security. Build automated checks and secure-by-default workflows into CI/CD. Help establish compliance practices (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, HITRUST) that meet customer expectations.
You'll work cross-functionally with other engineers and teams in a mission-driven, fast-scaling startup where platform engineering is valued as a core function.
Required: 5–7+ years in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering. Deep hands-on expertise with GCP, AWS, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudRun, Fargate, and managed Kubernetes. Strong CI/CD pipeline experience, modern observability (Datadog preferred), cloud security, IAM, and container security knowledge. Excitement about AI-driven development tools. U.S. citizenship required (supports VA contract).
Nice-to-haves: Startup experience, backend coding in TypeScript, ML/LLM serving background, compliance framework exposure, internal developer platform experience.
Compensation: $150,000–$175,000 annually. Flexible remote work from anywhere in the US, generous equity, healthcare, and PTO.
