Zencargo is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to drive the architectural evolution of their cloud platform as traffic and AI workloads scale. This is a hands-on, broad technical role split roughly 60/40 between infrastructure engineering and software development.
Infrastructure responsibilities (60%) include designing and maintaining cloud architecture, managing a private Kubernetes estate, building an event-driven backbone, and developing infrastructure-as-code solutions that describe the entire platform. You'll own the technical foundation that enables the company's growth and AI capabilities.
Software development (40%) spans internal AI tooling, platform services, and product engineering. You'll build systems that directly support business outcomes, from proof-of-concept work to long-running strategic projects.
You'll work closely with forward-deployed engineers and the infrastructure team, serving as a technical backstop for hard problems and driving solutions across the platform. The role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to own outcomes end-to-end. The position requires GMT+0 to GMT+4 timezone overlap with the UK-based team.
