NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to own and scale paid acquisition efforts across SMB verticals including lending, credit cards, insurance, and banking. This role reports to the Director of Performance Marketing and offers significant autonomy to build and optimize performance marketing programs from strategy through execution and measurement.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day SEM operations across Google Ads, SA360, and Microsoft Ads, with focus on bidding strategies, budget allocation, ad copy, and campaign optimization. You'll design and execute structured experiments across audiences, creative, bidding strategies, and landing pages, synthesizing findings into scalable playbooks. The role requires developing reporting frameworks and dashboards using Salesforce, Looker, and Snowflake to measure performance and surface actionable insights.
You'll also build and scale emerging paid social programs across Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok by defining channel strategy, testing creative, and establishing repeatable growth loops. This is a hands-on position where you'll independently drive initiatives from concept through launch and post-performance analysis, partnering cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, BI, Creative, and broader Marketing teams.
Required experience includes 3–6 years of hands-on SEM and performance marketing, ideally in financial services or fintech. You need deep familiarity with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and SA360, proficiency with analytics tools like Salesforce and Snowflake, and a strong analytical mindset with demonstrated success in structured experimentation. Clear communication skills and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience marketing SMB financial products, familiarity with incrementality testing and media mix modeling, SQL proficiency with Snowflake, startup or high-growth environment experience, and track record launching emerging acquisition channels.
