Mixpanel is a leading product intelligence and analytics platform trusted by 29,000+ companies. The People Operations team owns the systems, processes, and programs that power the employee lifecycle.
You'll own Mixpanel's HR technology stack, lead process transformation across the full employee lifecycle, and serve as the go-to partner for Payroll, IT, Legal, and the broader People & Talent team. You'll work directly with vendors, HRBPs, and leadership to ensure operations are scalable, compliant, and user-friendly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead HR operations programs end-to-end, defining scope, owners, milestones, and success measures from ambiguous briefs
- Serve as primary functional owner for core People technology platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS, performance tools), including configuration, upgrades, and feature evaluation
- Lead technology deployments, platform conversions, and module rollouts across IT, HRIS, and vendor teams
- Research and benchmark HR technology trends to build and maintain a People tech roadmap supporting scale
- Apply AI and emerging tools to improve the broader People Operations function
- Establish and enforce data governance standards across HR systems for accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness
- Design and implement a tiered HR support model with clear ownership, escalation paths, and service levels
- Map current and future-state workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to reduce manual work and maximize automation
- Author and maintain SOP and documentation library at function level
- Own end-to-end compliance for higher-risk programs including I-9/E-Verify, records retention, and system access auditing
- Monitor employment law and data privacy developments and translate into compliant system configurations
- Manage relationships with external partners including EOR providers and software vendors
- Facilitate alignment among diverse stakeholders, adapting communication style to audience
You've owned People Operations programs in high-growth tech environments, navigated ambiguity, and built structure from scratch. You've served as functional owner or administrator for HR platforms with hands-on configuration and cross-functional coordination experience. You've built or contributed to People technology roadmaps, documented and redesigned people processes across the employee lifecycle, and influenced cross-functional partners without direct authority. You apply structured project management to multi-stakeholder initiatives and have established or enforced data governance standards in HR systems. You communicate clearly across all levels and have managed compliance programs proactively.
Bonus experience includes Paylocity, Lattice, or ChartHop; familiarity with EOR models; and experience with distributed, global workforces.
