Mixpanel is seeking a Senior People Operations Manager to own and transform the company's HR operations function. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy, technology, and process excellence, reporting to the broader People & Talent leadership.
You will be the primary functional owner of Mixpanel's HR technology stack, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, and performance management platforms. Your responsibilities span system configuration and vendor management, end-to-end HR program design and execution, technology roadmap development, and compliance oversight. You'll lead platform migrations, rollouts, and upgrades while coordinating across IT, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams.
Key focus areas include: establishing data governance standards across HR systems; designing and implementing tiered HR support models with clear escalation paths; mapping and automating workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT; building and maintaining comprehensive SOPs and documentation; managing compliance programs (I-9/E-Verify, records retention, system access audits); and staying current on employment law and data privacy developments to ensure compliant configurations.
You'll work with external partners including EOR providers and software vendors, manage cross-functional stakeholder alignment, and apply emerging tools and AI to improve People Operations workflows. Success in year one means moving the function from ambiguous, manual processes to well-configured systems, documented workflows, and a team that trusts the data and tools.
This is an individual contributor role with significant scope and influence across the organization, but does not include direct people management.
