Fanatics is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to embed within Fanatics Betting & Gaming's Engineering and Security functions. This is a strategic, non-traditional PBP role focused on supporting high-performance technical teams in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
You will serve as the primary people partner to senior Engineering leaders, providing organizational design support, leadership coaching, sensitive employee relations management, and talent strategy. Key responsibilities include:
• Partner with Engineering leadership on org design, talent strategy, and leadership development, with particular focus on technically-oriented leaders who may be skeptical of HR
• Lead complex, sensitive employee relations matters and investigations from initiation through conclusion, coordinating with Legal and regulatory stakeholders
• Collaborate with InfoSec, TA Ops, and Legal on employee integrity programs including identity verification, insider threat response, and Know Your Employee (KYE) initiatives
• Support People diligence and integration planning for acquisitions affecting Engineering, including cultural assessment and Day 1 readiness
• Develop and execute comprehensive people strategies in partnership with senior Engineering leadership
• Own existing HR programs across multiple technical client groups with strong initiative and minimal guidance
• Coach leaders on people management skills, AI adoption, and performance expectations in high-pressure environments
• Synthesize people data into business-relevant insights for senior leaders, including performance trends, retention risk, engagement signals, and AI adoption indicators
• Monitor workforce trends to support VP of People Business Partners in strategic workforce planning, succession, and org design
This role requires deep experience supporting technical and security-oriented organizations in regulated industries. You'll need demonstrated expertise in complex employee relations, multi-jurisdictional employment law (US, UK, Ireland, international), and an AI-forward mindset with hands-on experience using AI tools in HR work.
