The Senior Paid Media Manager is a strategic leader responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing multi-channel paid media campaigns that drive measurable business growth. This role directs agency and vendor partners and cross-functional team members across brand, product, analytics, and finance within a matrixed organizational structure to ensure marketing investment effectiveness and alignment with business goals.
Key responsibilities include leading paid media strategy and execution across search, social, display, video, and affiliate channels; managing and mentoring high-performing teams and external agency partners; owning the paid media budget across channels and regions while driving efficiency in customer acquisition cost; reconciling monthly marketing spend with Finance; planning and projecting spend and performance by channel; owning all internal paid media performance reporting and forward-looking pacing projections; responding to ad hoc executive reporting requests; identifying and closing gaps in marketing data infrastructure including lead source attribution; partnering with creative, product, lifecycle, and data teams to align messaging and funnel performance; owning creative strategy for paid media with a structured testing roadmap; driving continuous experimentation with new platforms and formats; and bringing deep expertise in auction dynamics, signal quality, and algorithmic optimization.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in performance marketing with deep expertise in paid media strategy, execution, and optimization, including at least 5 years directly managing Google Search, YouTube, and Meta campaigns. Required skills include proficiency with Google Ads Manager, Meta Ads Manager, and relevant analytics tools; experience managing large budgets exceeding $1M monthly; proven ability to scale campaigns across the full marketing funnel; experience managing direct reports and/or agency relationships; strong analytical skills; excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management; and familiarity with AI tools to improve departmental efficiency. Knowledge of attribution modeling, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling is a plus. Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments is preferred.
