As Senior Operational Risk Manager, you will provide expert guidance on operational risk matters to stakeholders across the organization. Key responsibilities include driving operational risk initiatives in cooperation with other business areas, supporting staff development within the ORM function, and providing second-line monitoring and independent challenge of the AI Risk Management framework. You will manage corporate insurances including coverage evaluations, policy renewals, risk transfer strategies, and claims processing.
You will conduct regular Risk and Control Self Assessments and other risk assessments, enhance the ORM framework, and fulfill operational risk management processes including identification, assessment, control, monitoring, and communication. Additional duties include developing and maintaining Key Risk Indicators and Risk Early Detection Procedures for financial and non-financial risks, preparing risk reports for stakeholder presentation, and reporting on operational risk management initiatives to management and relevant committees.
You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, regulators, and third parties. The role involves contributing to audit requests and remediations, reviewing new processes in the process inventory, supporting business areas in implementing risk measures, and governing loss event procedures, KRIs, Risk Grid, MOPS, and MAAP.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of relevant risk management experience, business/process/technology knowledge, understanding of risk management software, knowledge of banking law and regulatory standards, and fluency in English (German B2 preferred). You should demonstrate analytical and detail-oriented thinking, strong communication and presentation skills, stakeholder management capability, and comfort working with AI tools and AI-assisted workflows.
