Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Observability Architect to serve as the primary technical point of contact and strategic partner for a portfolio of enterprise customers. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will architect and guide the implementation of complex observability solutions across modern infrastructure and application environments, working with engineers, SREs, and architects to embed Grafana's technology into mission-critical systems.
You will own the long-term technical success of assigned customers, leading technical discovery, design, onboarding, and enablement initiatives. Key responsibilities include designing observability maturity journeys, providing expert-level troubleshooting and guidance, conducting regular technical reviews and health checks, and assisting with root cause analysis. You'll advise clients on best practices, help develop and execute technical roadmaps, and identify optimization opportunities for cost reduction and product expansion.
Working collaboratively with Engagement Managers and Onboarding Solutions Architects, you'll drive adoption of Grafana's product suite to maximize customer ROI. You'll develop and deliver technical documentation, conduct training sessions and workshops, and represent the technical voice of customers internally—shaping product feedback and roadmap priorities by working closely with Engineering and Product Management.
This role requires deep technical expertise in observability, infrastructure, and modern application architectures. You'll build strategic, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, conduct regular business reviews to assess satisfaction and ROI, and advocate for customer needs and feature requests within the organization. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of systems thinking, architecture design, and customer impact, with the ability to guide customers through their observability maturity curve with authority and clarity.
