Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Named Account Executive to lead sales efforts targeting the Canadian Federal Government. This role focuses on defending critical infrastructure, protecting citizens' data, and safeguarding essential digital services against cyber threats for government departments and agencies.
You will develop and execute comprehensive account and territory plans across key defense and security accounts to achieve revenue targets. Your responsibilities include engaging early in the procurement lifecycle to shape technical requirements, leveraging modern procurement pathways, and driving business through PSPC procurement vehicles, Supply Arrangements, Standing Offers, and Vendor of Record lists.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop account/territory plans and drive engagement with technical buyers, Project Authorities, and procurement leads
- Navigate complex federal procurement mechanisms and contract negotiations
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions for Cloudflare's security and networking solutions
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and system integrators
- Ensure customer satisfaction and support strategic channel partners
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of direct B2B experience selling security or networking products (cybersecurity, Zero Trust, SASE, IaaS, PaaS)
- Minimum 5 years selling to Canadian Federal Government in Ottawa, with emphasis on DND and Public Safety Canada
- Proven expertise navigating federal procurement mechanisms and channel/VAR ecosystems
- Experience managing complex public sector sales cycles and pre-procurement engagement
- Deep understanding of computer networking and internet infrastructure
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit
Desirable: Active security clearance, technical background in network engineering or computer science.
