Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Metrology Engineer to define and improve the measurement systems that ensure quality of advanced defense products. You will design, validate, and implement measurement methods, inspection programs, and gages for parts, assemblies, and processes. Your responsibilities include interpreting and applying GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to develop inspection plans that reflect critical characteristics and design intent.
You will perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and measurement system analysis (MSA/Gage R&R) to confirm capability and measurement confidence. Working hands-on across contact and non-contact systems—CMMs, portable arms, 3D scanners, laser trackers, CT, and optical systems from manufacturers such as Hexagon, Zeiss, Keyence, and LK Metrology—you will solve measurement problems and support root cause investigations.
Integrate metrology early with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to reduce risk and verify processes before they scale. Provide technical backbone and mentorship to Metrology Technicians and Specialists. Depending on experience, the scope ranges from supporting defined programs to independently owning the measurement strategy for complex assemblies.
