Artiva Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing natural killer (NK) cell-based therapies for autoimmune diseases. The company's lead product, AlloNK®, is a non-genetically modified, cryopreserved NK cell therapy being evaluated in combination with B-cell targeted monoclonal antibodies. As Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will be a foundational member of Artiva's first field medical team, serving as the scientific and clinical expert for an assigned region. This is a highly visible individual-contributor role responsible for representing the company's scientific and clinical data to the medical community while partnering with the Executive Director of Medical Science Liaisons to execute national field medical strategy. Key responsibilities include: KOL mapping, validation, and engagement with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers; leading peer-to-peer scientific discussions on the therapeutic pipeline and clinical data; supporting medical advisory boards, symposia, and clinical training sessions; responding to medical information requests; supporting clinical trial operations by identifying trial sites and promoting enrollment; serving as a field-based conduit synthesizing clinical insights and competitive intelligence; representing Artiva at major medical congresses (ACR, EULAR, specialty society meetings); gathering and reporting competitive intelligence; and providing medical and scientific training to internal colleagues and mentoring early-career liaisons. You will work cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing, and Market Access teams to support launch readiness while maintaining compliant medical independence. Required qualifications: minimum 4 years of Medical Science Liaison or Medical Affairs experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology (6+ years preferred), with direct ownership of KOL mapping validation, KOL engagement, HCP scientific exchange, and advisory boards. Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or related field preferred. Strong scientific communication, strategic thinking, and ability to synthesize complex clinical data required.
