Precision AQ is a leading payer marketing agency specializing in pharmaceutical and life sciences communications. As Senior Medical Editor, you will lead editorial quality across diverse healthcare marketing projects. Your core responsibilities include reviewing and editing content for spelling, grammar, consistency, tone, and compliance with AMA style and MLR guidelines. You'll participate in the content development phase to establish consistency in presentation and outline, collaborate with clinical writers, account teams, and production staff on revisions, and represent the editorial department in internal meetings.
You will develop and maintain editorial style guides for interdepartmental use, mentor and train department staff and partners, assist with medical/legal/regulatory submission preparation, and support the MLR submission process. Additional responsibilities include writing internal and corporate materials as needed.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of editing experience in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industries, with thorough knowledge of AMA (11th edition) style. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional, with experience editing both print and digital materials. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years in advertising, pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, or medical education; familiarity with Veeva, Zinc, or MLR submission systems; and knowledge of FDA pharmaceutical advertising requirements.
