eleQtron develops full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to take technical ownership of complex mechanical designs from concept through detailed engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and validation.
In this hands-on role, you will develop robust mechanical designs for high-precision scientific and industrial equipment. You will create and maintain high-quality SolidWorks parts, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. Key responsibilities include performing tolerance analysis, defining appropriate fits, interfaces, geometric tolerances, and dimensional requirements. You will translate system-level requirements into clear mechanical requirements and manufacturable design solutions.
You will define manufacturing requirements and work closely with suppliers and procurement teams on manufacturability, materials, tolerances, and quality. You will develop, test, and improve prototypes while actively contributing to design reviews and technical decision-making.
Required qualifications: BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 8 years of professional mechanical engineering experience with advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. Demonstrable experience designing complex mechanical assemblies, bespoke machinery, or technically demanding systems. Strong fundamentals in manufacturing methods, materials, tolerance analysis, GD&T, DfM/DfA, structural design, and mechanical interfaces.
Valued experience includes CSWP certification, background in scientific instrumentation, semiconductor equipment, aerospace, precision engineering, or special-purpose machinery. Experience with high-precision systems and exposure to vacuum, cryogenic, thermal, optical, or vibration-sensitive applications is a plus. eleQtron offers competitive salary, flexible working hours, international team environment, professional development opportunities, and wellness benefits.
