As Senior Marketing Manager based in Dakar, Senegal, you will report to the Head of Marketing for Wave Senegal and own the strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives that drive user acquisition and brand awareness. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Head of Marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including persona building and product lifecycle planning
- Creating clear project briefs and documentation to guide cross-functional teams (Brand, Design, Creative) through campaign production
- Building and refining the marketing funnel, lead scoring, and attribution models to tie marketing activity directly to business results
- Establishing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track performance and communicate insights
- Conducting data-driven analysis to optimize marketing programs and identify new growth opportunities
- Producing country-specific user persona research, behavioral analysis, market benchmarks, and competitive intelligence
- Managing relationships with media, advertising networks, and external vendors
You will need 10+ years of marketing experience in FMCG, tech startups, telecom, or similar fast-growth environments. Fluency in both French and English is required. A university degree in marketing, communications, sales, business development, or management is expected.
