Salary: AUD 280,000 - 350,000 / annual
Vercel is seeking a Senior Manager of Solutions Architecture to lead the APAC Solutions Architect team. You will manage a team of Solutions Architects supporting pre- and post-sales activities, driving technical excellence and partnering closely with sales leadership to win new business and expand existing accounts.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing the APAC SA team with training and career development; ensuring technical excellence across the pre- and post-sales cycle; providing hands-on support for key accounts including presentations, architecture reviews, and migration planning; coaching SA engagement on strategic accounts and critical deals; partnering with engineering to provide product feedback from the field; developing repeatable plays from observed trends; tracking and reporting SA performance quarterly; and owning org planning, staffing, budgeting, and regional recruiting.
You bring 8+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-sales roles, with at least 2+ years in a leadership position. You have a strong background in web technologies including Next.js, React, Node.js, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. You've proven ability to lead, coach, and scale technical teams in high-growth environments, with demonstrated success working with enterprise and commercial customers across diverse industries. You understand modern software development workflows (CI/CD, DevOps, frontend frameworks) and have experience collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive customer success.
Bonus qualifications include experience with Vercel, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks; leading SA teams at high-growth SaaS or cloud infrastructure companies; expertise in developer tooling, edge computing, or performance optimization; and comfort presenting at conferences, webinars, or large-scale customer events.
