Gong is seeking a Senior Manager of Solution Engineering to build and lead a high-performing team of Solution Engineers focused on the strategic enterprise business unit. You will serve as a trusted partner to customers, guiding them toward an AI-first approach to their go-to-market strategy using Gong's Revenue AI Operating System.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, and empowering Solution Engineers to maximize their potential and contribute to team and company goals. You will play an active role in training team members on new features, processes, and collateral while fostering continuous learning and development. The role requires building a customer-focused team that effectively communicates business outcomes and value, while establishing strong partnerships with Sales counterparts to drive revenue growth.
You will develop and implement streamlined processes and create impactful collateral to support the team and enhance stakeholder engagement. Optimization of existing workflows and elimination of bottlenecks through cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product teams is essential. Strong relationships with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, and Product/Engineering teams will be critical to meeting and exceeding business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of relevant sales engineering experience and 3+ years of proven track record building and managing high-performing sales engineering teams. You should demonstrate strong people management skills, a commitment to mentoring and coaching, and the ability to build successful teams from the ground up while remaining hands-on with deals. Experience with sales technology (CRMs, cloud architecture, telephony/web conference systems), familiarity with data flows, AI and machine learning concepts, analytics, APIs/webhooks, and JSON is required. Understanding of security and privacy considerations related to SaaS systems, exceptional communication skills, and strong interpersonal abilities are essential.
