Twilio is seeking a Senior Manager of Sales to lead the Social Impact division, focusing on the not-for-profit, healthcare, and social impact sectors. This role manages a global team of quota-carrying Account Executives responsible for both new business development and strategic account expansion within existing enterprise logos.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a hybrid new business/strategic sales team supporting social impact customers
- Identifying and developing new revenue opportunities with existing enterprise clients in non-profit, healthcare, and social impact spaces
- Landing net new non-profit enterprise companies
- Managing, mentoring, and developing quota-carrying AEs, including recruiting, hiring, and training
- Participating in and leading client meetings, particularly with C-suite stakeholders
- Supporting multi-product solution sales and successful onboarding of large enterprise customers
- Retaining and growing existing revenue through strategic account management
- Generating new pipeline through cross-sell and up-sell motions
- Running daily, weekly, and monthly operating cadences to drive accountability and achieve quarterly revenue targets
- Developing and sharing best practices across the Twilio.org team
- Collaborating cross-functionally with business partners to advance complex deals
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated track record of success as a sales leader living Twilio's values
- Comfort selling platform solutions; experience in Contact Center, cPaaS, or Data/Martech space is helpful
- Customer-focused and metrics-driven approach
- Proven track record coaching and developing account executives
- Experience hiring senior/enterprise-level account executives and managing performance
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and execute Executive Business Reviews (EBRs)
- Comfort engaging with diverse customer types including application owners, software engineering leaders, product managers, entrepreneurs, and line of business owners
Twilio is a remote-first company, though occasional in-person attendance may be required for team gatherings, functional off-sites, or customer meetings. East Coast location preferred; Tier 3 focus with flexibility for Tier 2 candidates.
